Review: Marine for Hire (Front and Center #1) by Tawna Fenske

She thought she’d sworn off military men for good…

Sam Kercher is every inch a wickedly hot Marine. Tall. Sexy. Lethal. When his best friends call in a favor, Sam is forced to face an entirely new line of duty—playing nanny for their newly divorced sister and her squirming seven-month-old twin boys. If Sam can dissemble an M16 in his sleep, diaper duty should be a cakewalk…right?

Unfortunately, Operation Nanny isn’t quite that simple. Sheridan has sworn off overbearing military men, so Sam must protect her from her dirtbag ex without revealing just how much he has in common with her brothers. Or that he’s been ordered not to touch her. Ever. Problem is, Sheri’s one hell of a gorgeous woman, capable of making this hard-bodied marine even harder. And Sam wants her bad.

Protect the girl. Care for the babies. Hide his identity. And keep his hands off. But even the most disciplined Marine has weaknesses...and Sheridan is one Sam might not be able to resist.

*I received a copy through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review*

I'm not going to recap the plot too much because the synopsis is extensive enough.

While Sheridan starts working again, Sam will take care of the twins. He's not a total noob though when it comes to babies, he has plenty of nieces and nephews. It all still goes a lot smoother than expected, the only problem is keeping his hands of Sheridan.

The attraction is obvious and iminent. Hell, Sam's been lusting after Sheridan since college. It really is only a matter of time before things happen between them and it's silly to deny how good it feels. Except Sheridan doesn't know that Sam's a marine and she hates being lied to. The longer Sam keeps the truth from her, the worse it's going to be when she finds out.

Overall it was a pleasant read that didn't require too much brain power. Two likeable characters, some funny situations and a bit of drama are good ingredients for a lazy Sunday read. If you're into the whole hot alpha marine guy, you'll probably enjoy this.
